Dutch Student Investment Fund is a venture capital fund managed by students from the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. It was established in 2016 as the first student-run European venture capital fund. DSIF provides funding and hands-on support for innovative student startups founded by bachelor, master students, PhDs, or recent graduates in the Twente region.
DSIF is on the mission of contributing to the growth and success of student entrepreneurs through active collaboration, access to an extensive network, and monetary support while building a mutual learning relationship. Our vision is to become the first contact for student entrepreneurs and a vital part of promoting student-led startups in Twente.
DSIF offers flexible part-time positions for students who are interested in learning more about the domain of venture capital, finance and entrepreneurship. Besides their designated responsibilities, the board members also have the opportunity to be actual investors who scout, assess, make investment decisions and support local student startups.
Joining DSIF, you will gain a lot of knowledge on venture capital and insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Twente through training and hands-on experience. In addition, you will have access to our network of experts, partners and entrepreneurs. A board year at DSIF will greatly accelerate your teamwork, time management, leadership, analytical communication skills and more. At the end of the day, your time at DSIF is what you make of it!

Other than this requirement, we welcome applicants from all studies, backgrounds, ethnicities, and genders! We value diversity here at DSIF as we believe a diverse and multi-disciplinary team bring about the creativity and expertise that lead DSIF to new heights.
We do not ask for previous experience with venture capital. All we are looking for is a strong willingness to learn, a keen interest in the field, proactivity, and a collaborative mindset!
As the President of DSIF, you are in the lead of the fund’s vision and strategy. Internally, you are responsible for the organisation of the student board of directors, reporting to the senior board, and keeping the shareholders well-informed. You will lead the meetings, coordinate the activities, and ensure that DSIF is heading in the right direction. In addition, you represent DSIF to maintain relations with current partners and startups, as well as proactively create new connections for the fund.
For this position, we are looking for someone with a strong can-do attitude, proactivity, eagerness to learn, excellent leadership, communication and organising skills. You will be a strong suit for the position if you have an entrepreneurial mindset and confidence in sharing DSIF’s mission and vision.
